Tivoli Street Painting 2017 Festival

BACK

Saturday September 23, 2017  from 9am to 5pm

The annual Tivoli Street Painting Festival will take place on September 23, 2017. The Village of Tivoli seeks artists of all ages and backgrounds for the 17th consecutive year since 2001. The village marks out and paints approximately 150 8'x8' squares along Broadway Street through town. Artists register (either that day or through pre-registration) and receive free boxes of pastels and choose their square on a first come, first choice basis. Children must be attended by an adult, but no other restrictions apply.

Live music - folk, fiddle, bluegrass and the like - keeps the mood lively. Participants laud the quiet, low-key character of the festival, its inclusiveness and the way it celebrates the artistic commitment of this Hudson Valley town.

This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
