Welcome to Millbrook Winery & Vineyard. Called "the Hudson Valley's flagship winery" by The New York Times and "a great place to visit" by The Wall Street Journal. Millbrook Vineyards & Winery is conveniently located in the magnificent Hudson River Valley just 1.5 hours from both New York City and Albany. It is glorious to visit any time of year for a tour and wine tasting.
Millbrook Winery offers world-class Hudson Valley Wines that have won acclaim from critics and consumers alike. The home grown and bottled NY Hudson Valley Wines compare favorably with top wines from California and France. Millbrook is considered one of the top wineries across the Hudson River Valley and the entire State of New York.
Millbrooks' Hudson Valley Wine is cultivated on thirty of the vineyards' 130 acres. Current varietals include Chardonnay (13 acres) Pinot Noir (5 acres), Cabernet Franc (7 acres), and Tocai Friulano (5 acres). Our winemaker, John Graziano, has been crafting these high quality wines for Millbrook since 1984. He has been the only winemaker at Millbrook since its establishment. Currently, John is producing approximately 10,000 – 12,000 cases of wine annually from our own fruit, as well as fruit from across New York and our California vineyards.
Millbrook is open from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week for guided tours and wine tastings. From Memorial Day through Labor Day we are open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Millbrook Winery is closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Off the eaten path
Here's the New Yorker’s summer weekend dilemma: One can get out of town to commune with nature and see all the pretty scenery — or just find a new place to eat lunch. If you usually opt for lunch, we’d like to tell you to get up and get out — and dine in a whole different setting, whether it’s eating oysters plucked straight from Long Island Sound or sampling Morimoto-made sushi on a cruise around the city.
There’s plenty of communing with nature, but none of these trips have the day-tripper scrounging in the wilderness. “It’s so novel,” says West Village resident Tom Regan, who attended a farm-to-table pop-up pig roast in East Hampton in the middle of a field last week. After a tour of the Millbrook Winery, server Caitlin Daltin offers sandwiches, and burgers along with the vineyard’s own wine.
Millbook Winery Day Package, Millbrook, NY, Saturdays and Sundays through October
A trip here is worth it if only to stare at the lush, 130-acre vineyard forged out of a former dairy farm. The package starts when a driver from the vineyard picks guests up at the Poughkeepsie Metro-North station and ferries them (via small yellow school bus) to the vineyards. First there’s lunch in the back of the dairy, followed by a two-hour-plus tour of how the wines are made and a wine tasting.
