Numerous Town government functions are handled entirely by volunteers, appointed by the Town Board, who serve on committees. There are: the Recreation Advisory Committee; the Cemetery Committee; the Open Space Affordable Housing Committee; the Historic Structures Committee; and the Committee on Aging.
Welcome to the Town of Rhinebeck, a community of approximately 8,000 established in 1688, has a rich historic and cultural past. Perched along the bluffs of the majestic Hudson River, this river town has a legacy of historic and scenic resources. There are more than 400 homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
